Austin da Luz, NCFC midfielder and founder of Playing for Pride, sat down with ABC 11 to talk about his recent project. The interview can be found here. De Luz started the Playing for Pride campaign to raise awareness and funds for the LGBTQ community. Over 30 players from six different soccer leagues have pledged to donate for each start, appearance, assist, and goal. So far, the project has raised over $4,000 and fans are encouraged to match their favorite player’s contributions. All proceeds go to the Human Rights Campaign.

Johnny Wakefield, from Soccer N Sweet Tea, recaps NCFC’s win over Puerto Rico FC and touts about the recent success of soccer in the Triangle. Link.


Pat Iverson from SB Nation had some really nice things to say about the Redvolution. In the article, found here, Iverson states the Hurricanes are on the cusp of breaking out. After eight playoff-less years, I certainly hope so.

The folks over at predict Carolina will take Swedish center, Elias Pettersson, with the twelfth overall pick.
